Several months ago I started on a journey to build myself a Street Team. A Street Team is a group of VIP fans that read my books FIRST and then often do things like talk about the book on social media and leave reviews on Amazon. I had never done this in the 9 years that I’ve been writing. Since I’m now working on book #4, I thought it was high time to get the ball rolling on that.
I’ve now built a team of about 50 people that read advanced copies of my books. The first time I put my Street Team to work was when I re-launched The Sacrifice of One. My Street Team really kicked it into gear and helped me so much, even though it was just a re-launch. So as a big THANK YOU to the members of my Street Team that participated, I decided to send them signed, paperback copies of The Sacrifice of One.
It took about a month, but I finally got my shipment of books in. This week I got all the books signed, boxed up, and shipped out! It was so fun and exciting to have this experience. Signing a copy of your own book has to be top of the list of the most fulfilling events for a writer. Plus I love a nice Sharpie!
My original goal was to build a Street Team of 50 members. When I hit that number I was so pumped, but I’m always looking for people to add to the group. Shipping out these signed copies officially marks the end of my re-launch for The Sacrifice of One. I’m fully turning my attention to the re-launch of the next book in the series, The Bear Gap Rebels. Follow along as we find out what happens in the next chapter of Camilla’s journey!
